Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).
Sunday 4 February
ONEWA RD
Northbound on-ramp from Onewa Rd to
SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the
following morning for barrier placement.
* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Wednesday 7 & Thursday 8 February
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp
Sunday 4 February
ESMONDE
RD
Southbound on-ramp from Esmonde Rd to SH1 – CLOSED
– overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for
barrier movements.
* This closure will not take place if the Northcote Rd on-ramp closure below is required
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp
Sunday 4 February
TRISTRAM
AVE
Southbound on-ramp from Tristram Ave to SH1 - CLOSED
– 9pm until 5am the following morning for the removal of
temporary barriers.
* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Wednesday 7 & Thursday 8 February
* This closure will only take place if the Northcote Rd on-ramp closure below is not required
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp

NORTHCOTE RD
Southbound off-ramp from SH1 to
Northcote Rd - CLOSED – 9pm until 5am the following
morning for changes to the off-ramp alignment.
* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Thursday 8 February
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd off-ramp
Wednesday 7 February
TRISTRAM
AVE
Southbound off-ramp from SH1 to Tristram Ave - CLOSED
– 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier movement
and pavement works.
* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Thursday 8 February
* This closure will only take place if the Northcote Rd off-ramp closure above is not required
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd off-ramp
Wednesday 7
February
NORTHCOTE RD
Northcote Rd eastbound between
the motorway and Taharoto Rd - CLOSED – 9pm until 5am the
following morning for changes to the off-ramp alignment.
* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Thursday 8 February
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp northbound, Tristram Ave and Wairau Rd
Wednesday 7 & Thursday 8 February
NORTHCOTE
RD
Southbound on-ramp from Northcote Rd to SH1 - CLOSED
– 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier
relocation.
* This closure will only take place if the Tristram Ave and/or Esmonde Road on-ramp closures above are not required
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Esmonde Rd or Onewa Rd on-ramps
Road users are requested to use the sign posted detours whilst the closures are in operation.
