Drag Queens Take Over Auckland's Viaduct Harbour!
Sunday 4th February, 11:00am - 5:00pm
'WIGS ON THE WATERFRONT' sees both drag queens and performance artists spreading their fabulousness around a day of total campness and family fun. Popular MC's Miss Ribena and Miss K will host the day along with guest spots by other celebrities. Public are advised to get there early to get the best viewing spot - or book a table at a nearby restaurant - is the viaduct is always packed for this event!
The incredible 'Wigs on the Waterfront' day of shows made its debut six years ago. It's a fundraising event for the 'Cartier Bereavement Charitable Trust', founded in the memory of the late Courtney Cartier - a drag artist and one of the Caluzzi girls who performed at K' Road's Caluzzi Cafe. This trust has been set up to provide those effected by HIV/AIDS (and other related issues) with the knowledge that their passing will be treated with love and dignity even when family and finances are not available.
The rain date for this event is Waitangi Day Tuesday 6 February.
