Busway Traffic Bulletin: Saturday 27 January to Friday 2 February

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

Tuesday 30 January ESMONDE RD & NORTHCOTE RD All motorway lanes northbound between Esmonde Rd & Northcote Rd - CLOSED – 10:30pm until 5am the following morning for works on Esmonde Rd underpass.

-If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Wednesday 31 January & Thursday 1 February

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion from Esmonde Rd off-ramp to Northcote Rd on-ramp

Tuesday 30 January NORTHCOTE RD & ESMONDE RD All motorway lanes southbound between Northcote Rd & Esmonde Rd - CLOSED – 10:30pm until 5am the following morning for works on Esmonde Rd underpass.

-If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Wednesday 31 January & Thursday 1 February

-As part of this closure the Northcote Rd southbound on-ramp will be closed at the same time

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion from Northcote Rd off-ramp to Esmonde Rd on-ramp

Tuesday 30 January TRISTRAM AVE Southbound off-ramp from SH1 to Tristram Ave - CLOSED – 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier movement and pavement works.

-If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Wednesday 31 January & Thursday 1 February

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd off-ramp

Tuesday 30 & Wednesday 31 January ONEWA RD Northbound on-ramp from Onewa Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for enabling works at Onewa interchange.

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp

Tuesday 30 & Wednesday 31 January and Thursday 1 February ESMONDE RD Southbound on-ramp from Esmonde Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier movements.

-This closure will only take place if the full southbound closure above is not required

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd on-ramp

Tuesday 30 & Wednesday 31 January and Thursday 1 February ESMONDE RD Northbound off-ramp from SH1 to Esmonde Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for water blasting.

-This closure will only take place if the full northbound closure above is not required.

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd off-ramp
Tuesday 30 & Wednesday 31 January and Thursday 1 February ESMONDE RD Esmonde Rd westbound between Barrys Point Rd & Burns Ave – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for changes to lane marking.


-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Barrys Point Rd

Wednesday 31 January TRISTRAM AVE Southbound on-ramp from Tristram Ave to SH1 - CLOSED – 9pm until 5am the following morning for the removal of temporary barriers.

-If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Thursday 1 February

-This closure will not take place if the full southbound motorway closure above is required

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp

Road users are requested to use the sign posted detours whilst the closures are in operation.
