Picton Lotto First Division Win Claimed
A Triple Dip Lotto ticket purchased by a regular Lotto player saw the South Island family claim their $500,000 Lotto first division win.
"We didn't realise that we'd won until reading the paper the next morning," says the father, who wishes to remain anonymous.
"We've struggled over the years and it's really hard to comprehend how much money this is."
Supporting family with their new found wealth features high on their list. "We're really looking forward to making some smaller changes in our lives and putting the rest away for that rainy day."
The winning ticket had been purchased at Picton Supervalue Plus, Picton.
The other first division winner, a woman from Lower Hutt, claimed her $500,000 prize on Monday.
A Strike Four prize sold in Wellington, by Mall Books and Lotto in Newtown, and worth $242,635, has also been claimed by a regular Lotto player.
