Power cut at CCC Civic Offices - Tuam Street
Earlier today, at about 11.20am, a contractor working near the Civic Offices in Tuam Street struck a power cable which has knocked out power to the Christchurch City Council Civic Offices in Tuam Street. The contractor has sustained burns and has been taken to hospital.
As a result, only limited transactions and services will be available at the Tuam Street Civic Offices for the rest of the day as it is anticipated that it will take some time for power to be reconnected.
Any members of the public requiring Council's services are advised to visit any of the Council's other service centres (http://www.ccc.govt.nz/Contact/ServiceCentres/)
