Busway traffic bulletin: Saturday 30 september to Friday 6 October

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

Sunday 1 October ESMONDE RD Esmonde Rd eastbound between Barrys Point Rd & Burns Ave – CLOSED – from 9pm until 5am the following morning for work on Shoal Bay Bridge.  If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on 2 October.  Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Barrys Point Rd.

Sunday 1 – Thursday 5 October ESMONDE RD Southbound on-ramp from Esmonde Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier movements.  Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd on-ramp.

Sunday 1 - Thursday 5 October ESMONDE RD Esmonde Rd westbound between Burns Ave & Barrys Point Rd - CLOSED - from 9pm until 5am the following morning for work on Shoal Bay Bridge.  Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Lake Rd.

Sunday 1 & Monday 2 October NORTHCOTE RD & ESMONDE RD All SH1 Motorway lanes southbound between Northcote Rd & Esmonde Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 10pm until 5am the following morning for lane realignment.  As part of this closure the Northcote Rd SH1 southbound on-ramp will be closed at the same times.  If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on 3, 4 or 5 October.  Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd on-ramp.

Sunday 1 – Tuesday 3 October ESMONDE RD & NORTHCOTE RD All SH1 Motorway lanes northbound between Esmonde Rd & Northcote Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 10:30pm until 5am the following morning for lane realignment.  If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on 4 October.  Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Esmonde Rd off-ramp.

Sunday 1 – Tuesday 3 October NORTHCOTE RD Northbound off ramp from SH1 to Northcote Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier movements.  Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Tristram Ave off-ramp.

Tuesday 3 – Thursday 5 October NORTHCOTE RD Southbound off ramp from SH1 to Northcote Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier placement.

 This closure will not take place at the same time as the full closure listed above.

 Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Tristram Ave off-ramp.

Monday 2 & Tuesday 3 October TRISTRAM AVE Southbound on-ramp from Tristram Ave to SH1 – CLOSED – from 9pm until 5am the following morning for beam placement on the new busway viaduct.

 If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on 4 October.
 As part of this closure Tristram Ave westbound between Forrest Hill Rd & the northbound motorway ramps will be closed at the same times.
 Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd on-ramp.
