Manukau’s spring school holiday programme

Manukau’s spring school holiday programme offers something for everyone

Spring break is just around the corner and Manukau City Council’s leisure, libraries and art teams have put together an exciting range of fun activities to keep the kids entertained.

Hip hop, treasure hunts, face painting, ten pin bowling, plus trips to Auckland Zoo and Rainbows End, are just a few of the activities available for 5 to 14 year olds at our recreation and leisure centres.

Manukau on the Move’s popular Teen Extreme programme is back with a host of outdoor action-packed pursuits for 12 to 16 year olds. Our kayaking, cycling, ‘Tree Top Adventure’ plus ‘Survivivor’ challenges are guaranteed to appeal.

Nathan Homestead offers two weeks of fabulous arts and crafts activities including a two day Hollywood drama workshop, ethnic jewellery classes and a trip to Badjelly the Witch at the Civic Theatre in Auckland City.

Manukau’s Libraries will be hosting themed story-time, art and craft events at no charge including a Treasure Island pirate theme at Mangere East Library, Garfield themed events at Howick and Papatoetoe and the magic of fairy tales at Mangere Bridge.
