Enriching Your Marriage

Enriching Your Marriage

We would like to bring to your attention the ministry of Marriage Encounter and what it offers to married couples.

Marriage Encounter is a self funding non profit organisation established in New Zealand in 1983 and affiliated with world-wide Marriage Encounter.

Marriage Encounter presents a programme designed to encourage:
• The expression of feelings
• Communication in a non threatening manner
• Giving couples the tools to bolt down the escape hatch to divorce!

Each year a series of residential weekends are run throughout New Zealand, for couples of any denomination. Many have described it as the single most important thing they have ever done together as husband and wife.

Marriage Encounter differs from other Marriage Enrichment programmes in that it offers couples, after a Weekend, ongoing encouragement through small monthly home groups.
In this way support networks are established which couples find very beneficial.

This year Marriage Encounter is holding a Waikato Weekend at the Capernwray Conference Centre, Cambridge, from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th September.

Enclosed is publicity material and full details about the forthcoming weekend plus weekly inserts for your Church newsletter.

The costs for the Weekend, (accommodation, meals, S.I. presenter’s air fares) are by donation from couples, according to their means.

We have been disappointed by the poor support received from some Churches in the past.

More than ever, it is now timely for Churches to take a proactive stand by supporting a Marriage Encounter Weekend and through this, doing something to stem the ever increasing divorce rate.
