Police Investigate Death of Teenager
Counties-Manukau Police are investigating the death of a teenage boy who was killed at a party in Mahia Road, Manurewa, shortly after midnight.
The deceased is believed to be 15 or 16 years old but Police have not been able to identify him yet. He was a light-skinned Maori or Polynesian with short black hair, wearing white trousers and boxer shorts.
A 19 year old man is helping Police with their enquiries.
Mahia Road, Manurewa will be closed to all traffic for most of the morning.
Police believe they have spoken to half of the 30-40 party-goers who were aged between 13-19 years, and who were all intoxicated.
The officer in charge is Det.Snr/Sgt Gary Lendrum.
