Nearly Half of Morrinsville Subdivision Snapped Up

NEWS RELEASE
Nearly Half of Morrinsville Subdivision Snapped Up Within Fortnight of Launch

The attractive rural town of Morrinsville in the hub of prosperous Waikato dairy farming country has seen the launch of the first and largest subdivision of its kind quickly snapped up by a mixture of local buyers and others from nearby Hamilton and Auckland. Stage I and Stage II of ‘Parkwood Subdivision’ including 12 sections bordering the golf course were launched on 1 April with 27 sections sold in the first two weeks.

With sections ranging from 600sqm to 1,370sqm and prices ranging from $120,000 to $289,000, enquiries have come from locals looking to enjoy the surrounds of an attractively landscaped subdivision, to mature buyers looking to settle in a new area, and Aucklanders looking for an affordable lifestyle change as an alternative to more pricey areas traditionally sought like Whangaparaoa.

Developers Transland Developments are behind the project and have plans for a total of 292 sections over a five year period. Transland has a long history of high quality subdivisions including in Papamoa, Tauranga, Albany, Orewa, Hamilton and Cambridge.

Harcourts Morrinsville Business Owner, Kevin Deane said, “Parkwood represents an opportunity that has been sorely missing in Morrinsville’s real estate market with sections ranging from entry level prices to premier golf course settings, something for all price brackets. Although we anticipated strong local interest out of town purchasers have also contributed strongly to the sales already effected”.

Harcourts Morrinsville Sales Consultant, John Petry who is marketing the Parkwood Subdivision said, “It’s exciting to see developers of such a high calibre investing in Morrinsville. As well as being on a very attractive site, Parkwood Subdivision will include very good landscaping, a wetland reserve in the centre, native plantings, and landscaped walkways.”

Mr Petry described Morrinsville as a very attractive rural town of around 6,000 with a range of good shopping, quality schooling and recreational facilities, all within half an hour of Hamilton with excellent University and hospital facilities. Auckland was also only and hour and a half away.
