Hexstatic light up the waterfront with music and video
Top British VJ/DJs Hexstatic will be presenting a FREE live video and sound show at the lagoon on the waterfront tomorrow (Thursday 16 February) at 9pm.
Hexstatic, which consists of duo Stuart Warren Hill and Robin Brunson, are two of the hottest audiovisual artists on the scene. They will be serving up classic electro, trademark Ninja funk and samplings.
Hexstatic will play on a barge on the lagoon while images are projected onto a 9m x 6m screen behind them.
Hexstatic have been brought to New Zealand by the British Council New Zealand and are part of Fringe 06. This event is funded by Wellington City Council.
The show opens with VJ Mike Busy, with Hexstatic taking to the stage at 9.30pm until 11pm.
City Council Event Co-ordinator Kristie Sanders says this is a great opportunity for Wellingtonians to experience one of the world’s top audiovisual acts. “We’re really excited to host Hexstatic while they are on tour. They have been voted the world’s top audiovisual act by DJ magazine in the UK so we’re expecting a great turn-out. There will be lots of vantage points near the grassy knoll where people can enjoy the music and images.”
