Stallholder Lineup Promotes Quality At 2006 Festival
The Devonport Food and Wine Festival 2006 is boasting one of its best stallholder lineups yet. With wine and food from
all over the country and quality entertainment acts to match, festival-goers are sure to be spoilt for choice on
Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February at Windsor Reserve Devonport.
Wine stallholders are a mix of newcomers and longtime favourites of the Festival. From Rockburn Pinot Gris of Central
Otago; Framingham Classic Reisling of Marlborough; Stonyridge Fallen Angel Chardonnay of Waiheke Island and Amor Bendall
Gewurztraminer of Gisborne only being a slight illustration of what’s on offer, there is sure to be something for
everyone. Each winery is serving a great selection of wine, in 50ml and 100ml quantities only able to be purchased in
the official festival glass given to each patron upon entering the Festival.
With Festival organizers having a strong focus on quality in 2006, food purveyors are exhibiting a delectable mix of
cuisine to match the wine selection. Seafood including, paua, prawns, oysters, mussels and scallops will have strong
presence as well as Delicatessen food with cured meat, dips and breads, Thai, Indian, Spanish Paella and much more.
The Festival will also feature two stages continuously featuring a great line up of performers. Acts not to miss include
Amber Claire, Mo’reece, The Hot Grits and AkSamba.
