CMJ traffic bulletin: Saturday 17 December until Thursday

Transit New Zealand would like to advise motorists of proposed closures for work on the Central Motorway Junction upgrade over the next week.

CMJ Stage 2
Full motorway closures:
Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 December - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5.30am the following morning:
. Southern Motorway (SH1) southbound between Cook St off-ramp and Hobson St on-ramp

Ramp and link closures:
Sunday 18 and Monday 19 December - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5.30am the following morning:
. Hobson St on-ramp to Northwestern Motorway (SH16) westbound

During these times motorists are requested to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in operation.

Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.

In the event of inclement weather, the closures will be postponed to the next fine evening.

The CMJ Project
Stage 1 of Transit's Central Motorway Junction upgrade project, completed in January 2005, covers the section of motorway between the Upper Queen St over-bridge and Gillies Ave on- and off-ramps.

Stage 2 of Transit's Central Motorway Junction upgrade project extends from Bond St on the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to the interface with CMJ Stage 1 near Symonds St and from Cook St on the Southern Motorway (SH1) to Symonds St.

Project information centre: 13-19 Howe St, Freeman's Bay, Monday to Thursday
9.00am - 4.30pm, Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm, Saturday (except long weekends) 10:00am - 12:00pm.
