AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL MEDIA RELEASE

Matiatia design principles on display
The community have the chance to identify the design principles for Matiatia that are the most important to them. Community suggestions on the design principles will be on display at the Matiatia ferry terminal on Thursday 15 December.
This feedback and the design principles will then be used by the working party of councillors, community representatives and design and property experts when they develop the design brief for Matiatia.
"The call for community input into the design principles has been met with an enthusiastic response and we have received excellent suggestions," says Penny Pirrit, acting group manager of City Planning.
Brian Griffiths, chair of CaPoW, says it is important the community uses every opportunity available to participate in the process.
"This will be a chance for the community to indicate which principles are important to them before the working party begins the design brief. Anyone who hasn't needs to get involved now and those who have need to keep it up."
There will be further community involvement as the design process progresses.
The display will run from midday to 7.30pm at the Matiatia ferry terminal.
Information and feedback forms will also be available at:
