Western Corridor consultation begins
The formal consultation process on the proposed Western Corridor Plan began on Saturday. The proposed plan covers north south transport routes from Peka Peka to Ngauranga Gorge and associated routes to the Hutt Valley. The Plan provides a 20 year costed programme of rail and road improvements, transport initiatives and strategies to manage travel demands.
Submissions close at 5.00pm on Friday 4th November.
The public notice, consultation document, copies of 20 background reports and a rating cost calculator have been published on Greater Wellington’s website (www.gw.govt.nz click on the Western Corridor button).
Copies of the documentation have been distributed to public libraries and council offices in Wellington, Porirua, the Kapiti Coast and Hutt Valley (list attached).
Copies of the consultation document and a CD ROM of the full documentation including background reports is available from Greater Wellington Regional Council.
