Directors Appointed Tomorrow’s Manukau Properties

Directors Appointed for Tomorrow’s Manukau Properties Ltd

At last night’s Manukau City Council meeting six directors were appointed to the board of Tomorrow’s Manukau Properties Limited, the newly formed Council-Controlled Organisation (CCO) set up to develop Flat Bush Town Centre.

The six directors are:

Mr Ray Davy Mr Roger Gower Mr Richard Jeffrey Mr Peter Taylor Mr John Whitehead Mr David Wolfendon

Manukau Mayor Sir Barry Curtis is delighted with the appointments. “The directors chosen possess an impressive range of skills and expertise in property development, planning, finance, corporate banking, marketing, transport and business that will serve the company well.

“Under the chairmanship of Peter Taylor I am confident that our vision of a vibrant, diverse and comprehensively planned new Town Centre for the benefit of the emerging Flat Bush community will be realised,” added Sir Barry.

The town centre will house a mix of commercial, retail, residential and community facilities. It is New Zealand’s largest new urban development and will accommodate 40,000 people, within the next 15 years.

Because of the extremely high calibre of the applicants, the draft constitution for Tomorrow’s Manukau Properties Limited was also amended last night to allow for the appointment of a maximum of six directors.
