Stagecoach services resume

With the conclusion of the Stagecoach drivers six-day strike, alternative strike-relief bus service are no longer required.

Normal bus and train services will resume across the region's public transport network from tomorrow morning (Wednesday 11 May), although will be disrupted between 9:30am and 3pm for the duration of a bus drivers' stop work meeting. ARTA would like to thank passengers for their patience during the strike period, and would also like to express thanks to all public transport operators who assisted in providing extra or extended services.

ARTA continues to be concerned at the inconvenience that this industrial action has caused passenger transport users, and looks forward to being notified of a resolution.

As mentioned above, services will be disrupted again on Wednesday 11 May, between 9:30am and 3pm, for the duration of a bus drivers' stop work meeting. There will be no alternative bus services provided in this instance, but public transport users are reminded that other operators will be running bus, train and ferry services as normal.

Further information on public transport services is available from Rideline on 09 366 6400 or http://www.rideline.co.nz
