Auction to raise funds for Tsunami Victims

Auction to raise funds for Tsunami Victims

Enterprise Russell has already raised $28,000 for the tsunami victims - but they are determined to pass the $30,000 mark, over $300 raised per Russell resident!

Their next event is an auction at the Russell Town Hall, at 2pm on the Sunday of Anniversary weekend, with viewing from 10.30am onwards. And some incredible items have been donated:

Topping the bill is 'Bubblicious', Kent McLachlan's 25 ft bilge keeler, designed by John Gladden and built by Don Senior. People will be bidding on the yacht plus its Matauwhi Bay (Russell) mooring and a John Spencer dinghy. This generous offer was written up on the front page of the 'Herald' last week. The mooring alone is worth well over $2,000 before including the boat and its tender. With no reserve set, it is a remarkable opportunity to obtain a lifestyle change and enjoy the great NZ outdoors.

Also on offer is the exclusive use of the R Tucker Thompson for a special evening event. With room for up to 45 passengers the offer comes complete with food and a glass of bubbly and is worth over $2,000. The R. Tucker Thompson has plenty of room on board to relax or dance, or surprise a loved one with with the most romantic celebration imaginable.

The ship has been used for romantic weddings on board, family gatherings and parties (most recently an 80th birthday), and company parties for staff and families. Whether it be the opportunity to propose marriage, celebrate a wedding, or simply have a knees up with friends and family, www.tucker.co.nz/special_occasions.htm has more information about what you will be bidding for.
