Celebrate Children’s Day at The Groynes – Sun, 31 Oct
He taonga nui a tatou tamariki – Celebrating our greatest treasure, our children
Children’s Day 2004 will be celebrated in style again this year, with the return of this annual community event at The Groynes.
Children’s Day at The Groynes is a great day of free family fun and entertainment, with stage performances, games for children and families, karate demonstrations, face-painting, stone-carving, boating on the lake, craft activities, good food and much more.
This community event is organised and funded by Christchurch City Council and its Shirley-Papanui Community Board, with support from local community groups and agencies. Children’s Day at The Groynes seeks to promote healthy lifestyles, with a specific focus on encouraging the whole family to spend time together doing healthy enjoyable activities.
Children’s Day at the Groynes is always a great occasion, so mark it on your calendar now.
When: Sunday, 31 October, 11am – 4pm at the Groynes, off Johns Rd in Belfast
