Hutt City Appoints Trustee To PWB
Hutt City Council has appointed Charles Gilmore as its representative to the board of Positively Wellington Business for a term of 2 years, commencing 1 July 2004.
"In making their decision, Council believes that Charles Gilmore will bring an excellent understanding of the issues facing Hutt City businesses to Positively Wellington Business, said Gary Craig, City Development Manager.
"He has considerable experience in successfully establishing and growing businesses and an extensive network of contacts within the city and region, along with a passion for seeing the region develop economically".
Charles Gilmore is currently CEO/Director of Indeserve Limited, the largest combined telecommunications, IT and electrical technical field services company in NZ.
Hutt City Council contributes $410,000 per annum to Positively Wellington Business, the regional economic development agency. In its Community Plan 2004/05 deliberations, Council committed to a further two years of PWB funding.
