Animal Control Seizes Dog After Attack On Child

Chch City Council animal control officer picks up dog following report of attack on child

A Christchurch City Council animal control officer has this afternoon picked up a 13-year-old male rottweiller dog following a report of it injuring a child who was visiting a property in Russley with her mother.

The dog is registered.

It is understood the incident happened at about 4pm.

The animal will be kept in the council facility at Metro Place until the owner has been spoken to and its future is decided.

No information about the child's condition can be supplied by the City Council.
