North Shore Summer Music Series

North Shore Summer Music Series

For the third year running, the popular North Shore Summer Music Series returns to North Shore City's parks, reserves and beachfronts starting every weekend from January 17 to February 29, 2004.

The Series, proudly sponsored by North Shore City Council, promises to be a summer of fun and relaxation as talented entertainers and musicians line up to perform melodies of jazz, latin, cabaret, classical, Rhythm & Blues and beach party themes in venues such as Killarney Park, Hinemoa Park, Windsor Reserve, Milford and Waiake Reserve.

Highlights from the last series include Richard Eriwata singing "Love is in the Air" while local residents danced up a storm on Milford Reserve, Betty Anne & Friends singing enchanting melodies at Windsor Reserve and the Mermaids wiggling their tails at Waiake Reserve. "The purpose of the series is to promote lifestyle choice, quality entertainment and the natural environment, we are confidently well on our way in achieving this," says Series Director, Loren Welch.

We aim to encourage the North Shore Community to take time out from their busy schedules and often fast paced life by having a picnic in the park, listening to great music, soaking up the sun, splashing in the water and most of all enjoying excellent company with family and friends. A schedule of dates, venues and entertainers will be available to the public mid December 2003.
