A special plea from the parents of Coral Burrows

The parents of missing Featherston schoolgirl Coral Burrows are making an impassioned plea for public help in finding their six-year-old daughter.

Coral’s mum, Featherston resident Jeanna Cremen and dad Ron Burrows who lives in Te Puke say their daughter’s mysterious disappearance is every parent’s worst nightmare.

"Please, help us and help the police find our girl. We love her. We miss her. We want her back.

"People might have seen something -- a car or someone acting suspiciously. They may have heard something, maybe a dog barking for no apparent reason.

"It might not have meant anything to you at the time but please tell the police if you know what’s happened to Coral or where she is.

"Coral is someone special for all her family, her brother, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.

"She loves her cuddles and she loves playing with her dolls. She’s your typical healthy little six year old."

Coral’s parents say their family is overwhelmed by the support from the Featherston community, and from people throughout New Zealand.

"We can’t thank people enough for what they are doing. People have been out in the wet searching for Coral, the police, the search and rescue people and the volunteers giving their time.

"Thank you to our neighbours, family and friends, the Red Cross, Salvation Army and the huge number of individuals and local businesses who have donated us food, cooked meals and given us wet weather clothing. Your support is incredible.

"From our hearts, please help us find Coral."

The family ask media to now respect their privacy and to please stop calling or visiting Coral’s home.
