Public Meeting – Bypass in Doubt
Campaign for a Better City (CBC) will hold a Public Meeting at Thistle Hall (on the corner of Cuba St. and Arthurs St) on Tuesday, 12 August, starting at 7pm onwards. Hon Mike Ward MP will be among the speakers.
The meeting will focus principally on creative initiatives for the development of Te Aro and the wider city once the Inner-City “Bypass” has been stopped. CBC will also outline the current situation with the “Bypass”, including the recent Environment Court decision concerning the Archaeological Authorities and the Government’s upcoming review of the project.
After brief speeches the meeting will be opened up to the floor for people to ask questions of the speakers, followed by focus groups with the following topics suggested:
the “Car Conscious” campaign legal issues submissions on the Government’s review property at 128 Abel Smith Street.
