No General Aerial Operation Today
No General Aerial Operation Today - Tuesday 13 May
There will be NO general aerial operation to wipe out the painted apple moth today (Tuesday 13 May). The operation, planned to start today across the 6,500 hectare eradication zone, is delayed due to windy conditions.
The situation is being closely monitored and a decision will be made after first light in the morning regarding the operation going ahead on Wednesday 14 May. Tomorrow’s weather forecast is favourable and it is expected that the operation will proceed on Wednesday 14 May or on the first day that weather permits.
Aerial operations are weather dependent and when the general operation resumes it is likely to take more than one day to complete.
