* One of the ingredients of the spray is benzoic acid. There is no known safe level for inhalation of this chemical
* The Health Risk Assessment, on which the government relies for stating that Foray48B is safe, investigated the ingredients of the spray only for their effects when ingested or in contact with the skin - but not when inhaled.
* The Government has indemnified Agriquality Ltd, the private company which is spraying Aucklanders with pesticide, against any claim arising from this activity.
* The Ministry of Health has delegated its responsibility for community health with regard to the aerial spraying with pesticide to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The Ministry of Health has not retained regular and transparent scrutiny over this issue.
