No Aerial Operation On Wedensday
No Aerial Operation On Wedensday 29 January Due To Windy Conditions
The aerial operation to wipe out the painted apple moth planned for Tuesday 28 January has been delayed until Thursday 29 January at the earliest.
Windy conditions have grounded aircraft on both Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 January. The situation will be continuously reviewed and the operation will be carried out on Thursday 30 January or the next day that weather permits.
The 10,000-hectare operation is likely to take more than one day to complete.
As usual during term-time, when operations resume, there will be no flying between 8.00-9.00am, 12.15-1.00pm and 3.00-4.00pm – lunch and travelling times for many school children.
