Cover children's playground at Parrs Park

No Way Spray supports the covering of the children's playground at Parrs Park in Henderson.

Children are particularly susceptible to the many illnesses being experienced by residents in the spray zone.

"The number of evacuees is growing, many of those at the evacuation breakfast this morning were families & children", says Rachel Wapenaar.

"As a result of many hot spots being sprayed every 7-10 days, one family presently being evacuated by MAF for 3 days after each spray, will now find themselves homeless 3 days out every week. This is disrupting family life, placing huge stress on the family, & the children don't understand what is going on".

Many people on the North Shore suburbs of Birkdale & Beachhaven, sprayed for the first time today, were experiencing the same health effects West Aucklanders have been subjected to every 3 weeks for nearly a year.

The health of our children must be a priority. Long term affects of this spray are unknown. Until MAF accepts this aerial spraying isn't working, & looks into the safer means of eradication, No Way Spray will support action such as the covering of Parrs Park.
