Threat Of Rain Puts Stop To Aerial Operation For Afteroon
The aerial operation to wipe out the painted apple moth commenced at first light this morning.
The operation was put on hold at 12.40 this afternoon, after completing more than half of the target areas, due to threatened rain.
The Fokker Friendship and air tractor
will be back in the air first thing tomorrow morning –
weather permitting. The helicopter has already completed
operations in the ‘hot spot’ areas and will not be
flying.
