Freedom Shop Reoccupied!

Here’s the latest news from the campaign to stop the Wellington motorway and the destruction of Te Aro.
This morning security guards working for Transit NZ broke into the freedom shop (Wellington anarchist bookshop at 272 Cuba St) and changed the locks.
They put a notice up warning everyone that transit is now the legal occupier of the building. This afternoon at 4pm about fifty people turned up with a huge set of boltcutters and chopped the locks off and re opened the freedom shop.
Lots of media turned up to film the lock chopping and surrounding protests. so as of now the freedom shop is open again. the building across the road (289 Cuba St) is also occupied by protesters with several people sleeping there.
It is also being used as a meeting room and protest base so if you are in the area pop in and say hello..
