150th Programmes In Demand

Published: Tue 19 Dec 2000 02:12 PM
Demand for 150th Canterbury Anniversary celebration programmes has suddenly taken off.
With all the publicity surrounding last weekend's celebrations in Christchurch the demand for the programmes has come from far beyond Canterbury.
Yesterday alone, Turning Point 2000 received requests for the 30-page colour booklet from Whangarei, Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin, Kaikohe, Levin, Western Australia and England.
It's not too late to get a programme, called Looking Back - Looking Forward.
They are available from the Christchurch City Council offices, libraries, the Canterbury Museum, and the Christchurch Cathedral. Also they can be picked up at AMI offices, Ballantynes, McKenzie and Willis, the Robert McDougall Art Gallery, Ferrymead, the Arts Centre, visitors' centre, and Turning Point 2000.
