Consultation On Fluoride For Onehunga

Published: Fri 1 Dec 2000 10:45 AM
Auckland City has been asked by members of the Onehunga community to consider adding fluoride to the water supplied from the Onehunga bores and treatment facility.
In response to the request, Auckland City has commissioned an independent market research company to conduct a survey to find out the community’s views before the Maungakiekie Community Board and City Councillors consider the matter.
The Council will actively gain feedback from the community before making a decision.
All residents currently on the electoral roll and business ratepayers in the Onehunga water supply area will shortly receive a survey form. This form should be completed and returned by December 17th.
Information on this issue will be included with the survey form. In addition, displays and further information can be viewed on the ground floor of Onehunga Chambers, alongside the Onehunga Library at 85 Church St.
