NEW EVENT MANAGER FOR AUCKLAND/NORTHLAND
Phillip Cassrels has been appointed as the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind's new Event manager, organising the Braille Week and Guide Dog appeals in the Auckland and Northland regions.
Mr Cassrels, a former member of the Auckland Grammar Old Boys Association, comes to the Foundation with over five years management experience in sales and customer relations. His most recent employer was Johnson's Coachlines where he was responsible for inbound tourism sales.
"I have wanted to branch out into event management for some time, as I enjoy the challenge and complexities of project work," says Mr Cassrels. "This role will let me focus my previous experience and skills in a new direction.
"I am looking forward to raising support and public awareness about the services the Foundation offers blind and sight-impaired New Zealanders. The Foundation does excellent work in a tough environment."
Former Event manager Cheryl Ridgway, has a new role as an Auckland-based Funding Manager for the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind.
