Now the All Districts forecast from Weather Workshop:
The Situation: A high lies over the country today. A westerly flow affects the lower South Island.
And now the forecast to midnight tonight:
NORTHLAND, AUCKLAND, COROMANDEL PENINSULA, BAY of PLENTY/ROTORUA, TAUPO, WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI, TARANAKI, TAIHAPE, WANGANUI and MANAWATU: Mostly fine apart from a few cloudy periods about Northland. Light winds.
GISBORNE, HAWKES BAY and WAIRARAPA: Mainly fine with light winds.
WELLINGTON: Mainly fine with northerlies developing.
NELSON, BULLER, WESTLAND and FIORDLAND: Mainly fine with light winds. Cloud south of Haast later with westerlies.
MARLBOROUGH and CANTERBURY: Fine with light winds inland and northeasterlies about the coast.
OTAGO and SOUTHLAND: Mainly fine inland with light winds. About the coast, a few cloudy periods with west to southwest winds.
CHATHAM ISLANDS: Cloud and fine breaks with southwest winds.
THE OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: A few showers in Southland spread north up the east coast reaching the north Island during the afternoon. Mostly fine elsewhere. At the Chatham's, Cloudy at times with southwest winds continuing.
