Short Forecast issued by Weather Workshop valid to
midnight tomorrow:
The north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: A mix of fine and cloudy periods. A few showers during the day then drizzle developing in many western places tonight. Tomorrow, drizzle turning to rain and becoming widespread from afternoon.
In the east from Gisborne to Marlborough: Long fine periods today. High cloud increasing tomorrow with rain about the western ranges.
Wellington and Nelson: Cloudy periods, drizzle from evening. Tomorrow, outbreaks of rain with northerlies strong about Wellington.
West of the South Island: Persistent rain developing. Heavier falls about Fiordland this evening. Tomorrow, rain becoming confined to Buller and Northern Westland with only a few showers further south.
Canterbury, Otago and Southland: High cloud thickening today. Brief rain tomorrow then showers and cold southerlies spread north late in the day.
Chatham Islands: Showery.
