The north and west of the North Island from Northland to Wellington, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty:
Showers developing in most places by the end of the day. Showery at first tomorrow then a gradual clearance from the
south and west.
Gisborne to Wairarapa: Fine apart from some brief rain tomorrow.
Nelson and the west coast of the South Island: Rain becoming widespread with a few heavy falls expected overnight.
Conditions easing to showers south of the glaciers early tomorrow then a clearance working north. Cloud returning
towards evening about Fiordland.
Marlborough and Canterbury: Rain in the Alps elsewhere mainly fine. Tomorrow brief early rain elsewhere for a time.
Otago and Southland: Rain about the western ranges spreading east overnight then gradually becoming fine.
Chatham Islands: Cloudy periods.
