Short Forecast issued by Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow
The north and west of the North Island from Northland to Wellington, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Showers developing in most places by the end of the day. Showery at first tomorrow then a gradual clearance from the south and west.
Gisborne to Wairarapa: Fine apart from some brief rain tomorrow.
Nelson and the west coast of the South Island: Rain becoming widespread with a few heavy falls expected overnight. Conditions easing to showers south of the glaciers early tomorrow then a clearance working north. Cloud returning towards evening about Fiordland.
Marlborough and Canterbury: Rain in the Alps elsewhere mainly fine. Tomorrow brief early rain elsewhere for a time.
Otago and Southland: Rain about the western ranges spreading east overnight then gradually becoming fine.
Chatham Islands: Cloudy periods.
