Now the All Districts forecast from Weather Workshop:
The Situation: An anticyclone is spreading onto the country from the Tasman Sea and an area of low pressure east of New
Zealand is slowly moving away.
And now the forecast to midnight tonight:
NORTHLAND, AUCKLAND, WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI, TARANAKI, TAIHAPE, COROMANDEL PENINSULA, BAY of PLENTY/ROTORUA,
TAUPO, WANGANUI, MANAWATU, WELLINGTON and WAIRARAPA: Mostly fine and sunny with frosts in sheltered places. A few cloudy
periods about eastern Northland possible. Mainly light winds but southeast breezes about Northland, Auckland and
Coromandel Peninsula.
GISBORNE and HAWKES BAY: Mainly fine inland with light winds. About the coast a few cloudy periods this morning with the
odd light shower about Gisborne clearing. Southerly breezes.
NELSON, BULLER, WESTLAND and FIORDLAND: Mostly fine today with light winds. However, mainly cloudy about Fiordland with
westerly breezes.
MARLBOROUGH, CANTERBURY OTAGO and SOUTHLAND: Mostly fine and frosty with a few fog patches this morning. Light winds to
most places but westerlies about Foveaux Strait.
CHATHAM ISLANDS: A mix of cloud and fine breaks with southeast breezes.
THE OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: Anticyclonic conditions are expected to continue over the country with mostly fine weather.
Cloud increasing however about the South Island west coast with a few late showers to Fiordland. At the Chathams, a mix
of cloudy and fine weather.
