Short Forecast valid to midnight tomorrow:
The north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Showers and fine periods. Skies clearing from the south tonight. Tomorrow, mainly fine apart from a few cloudy periods from Northland to Coromandel Peninsula.
Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: Long fine periods but a few showers also Likely. Becoming fine in Hawkes Bay tomorrow
Wairarapa and Wellington, also coastal Marlborough: Cloudy with showers. Fine spells increasing tonight. Tomorrow, remaining showers clearing and becoming mainly fine.
Nelson, inland areas of Marlborough, also for the South Island west coast: Mostly fine weather.
Canterbury, Otago and inland Southland: Fine or becoming fine in most places tonight. Frosty inland tonight and fine again tomorrow.
Coastal Southland and Stewart Island: A few light showers tonight.
Mainly fine tomorrow apart from a few cloudy periods.
Chatham Islands: Rain at times easing to showers tomorrow.
