Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow.
In the north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Mostly fine sunny weather but an increase in cloud with a few showers developing tomorrow in the north and west.
Wellington: Cloudy periods, a few showers later tomorrow.
Gisborne to Wairarapa: The odd light coastal shower today, elsewhere fine. Generally fine tomorrow.
Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury: Fine in most places today but low cloud and fog returning to coastal Canterbury tonight. Tomorrow showers spreading northward during the day with colder southwesterlies.
South Island west coast: Drizzle developing about Fiordland, elsewhere fine and sunny. A period of rain working north tomorrow and turning colder.
Otago and Southland: Cloudy about the south coast otherwise fine today. Tomorrow turning colder with rain becoming widespread. Snow to low levels on the hills after dark.
Chatham Islands: Showers.
