In the north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty:
Mostly fine sunny weather but an increase in cloud with a few showers developing tomorrow in the north and west.
Wellington: Cloudy periods, a few showers later tomorrow.
Gisborne to Wairarapa: The odd light coastal shower today, elsewhere fine. Generally fine tomorrow.
Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury: Fine in most places today but low cloud and fog returning to coastal Canterbury
tonight. Tomorrow showers spreading northward during the day with colder southwesterlies.
South Island west coast: Drizzle developing about Fiordland, elsewhere fine and sunny. A period of rain working north
tomorrow and turning colder.
Otago and Southland: Cloudy about the south coast otherwise fine today. Tomorrow turning colder with rain becoming
widespread. Snow to low levels on the hills after dark.
Chatham Islands: Showers.
