Now the All Districts forecast from Weather Workshop:
The Situation: A weak ridge of high pressure covers the country. A low in the north Tasman Sea is deepening as it moves east towards the North Island.
NORTHLAND, AUCKLAND, COROMANDEL PENINSULA, WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI and TARANAKI: Morning cloud and a few drizzle patches clearing and becoming fine with light winds.
BAY of PLENTY/ROTORUA, TAUPO, TAIHAPE, WANGANUI and MANAWATU: Mainly fine with light winds.
GISBORNE, HAWKES BAY and WAIRARAPA: Cloud and a few light showers clearing and becoming fine with light winds.
WELLINGTON: Cloudy at first but becoming fine during the day. Northerly breezes.
NELSON and MARLBOROUGH: Mostly fine with light winds. Cloud and a few light showers may develop about the Kaikoura coast well after dark.
CANTERBURY: Mainly fine at first. Cloud and a few light showers may spread up the coast later. Light winds at first then tending southwest during the afternoon.
BULLER, WESTLAND and FIORDLAND: Mainly fine apart from cloud and a few light showers about southern Fiordland. Southwest breezes.
OTAGO and SOUTHLAND: Mainly fine inland with light winds. About the coast, a few showers and southwesterlies developing.
CHATHAM ISLANDS: A few showers with southwest winds continuing.
THE OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: Fine to most places but cloud increasing in Northland with northeast winds developing there. Showers continue at the Chathams with southwest winds.
