Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow
Bay of Plenty to Taupo and in the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa: Mostly fine today. A few showers spread north tomorrow.
From Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau: A mix of fine and cloudy periods. A few light showers becoming more frequent south of Wanganui this afternoon. Showery at first tomorrow then clearing later.
Wellington, Marlborough and Nelson: Showers about the western ranges of Nelson otherwise mainly fine today. A few showers tomorrow then clearing.
Canterbury: Cloudy with brief rain today. Tomorrow, a few morning showers clearing and becoming mainly fine.
West of the South Island: Rain in most places today. Easing to showers south of the glaciers this evening. A few showers tomorrow morning then becoming fine from the south.
Otago and Southland: Outbreaks of rain easing to showers later with cool southwesterlies. Tomorrow, a few coastal showers but becoming fine inland.
Chatham Islands: Rain developing today. Showery tomorrow with cool outhwesterlies.
