Now the All Districts forecast from Weather Workshop:
The Situation: A front now lies just north of the North Island. A high in the Tasman Sea is pushing a ridge onto the country.
NORTHLAND, AUCKLAND, WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI and TARANAKI: Showers easing this morning with increasing fine breaks from Afternoon. Becoming frosty inland tonight. Southwest winds tending southeast later.
COROMANDEL PENINSULA, BAY of PLENTY/ROTORUA and TAUPO: Showers clearing and becoming fine this afternoon and frosty in sheltered places tonight. Southeast breezes.
TAIHAPE, WANGANUI and MANAWATU: Remaining showers clearing this morning and becoming fine with southeast winds easing. Frosty tonight.
GISBORNE, HAWKES BAY and WAIRARAPA: Showers clearing inland this morning and from the coast during the afternoon. Southerly winds easing. Becoming frosty inland tonight.
WELLINGTON: Showers clearing this morning with southerly winds easing. Becoming frosty in the valleys tonight.
NELSON, BULLER, WESTLAND and FIORDLAND: Fine and becoming frosty tonight with light winds.
MARLBOROUGH, CANTERBURY and OTAGO: Mainly fine apart from a few cloudy periods about the coast this morning. Southwest winds easing. Becoming frosty tonight.
SOUTHLAND: Mainly fine inland. Cloud and a few light showers remain about the coast and Stewart Island. Southwest winds. Becoming frosty inland tonight.
CHATHAM ISLANDS: Showers and southwesterlies easing.
THE OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: Fine and frosty over most of the country but a few cloudy areas remain in the deep south. At the Chathams, becoming mainly fine with west to southwest winds.
