Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight.
From Taranaki to Taupo and Bay of Plenty northwards: Mainly fine at first but a few showers developing about the western coast after dark.
Wanganui and Manawatu, Mainly fine at first. Cloud increasing later with a few showers from evening.
Gisborne, Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa: Mainly fine but a few showers spread into Wairarapa after dark.
Wellington: Mainly fine at first. Showers developing after dark.
Nelson: Mainly fine but cloud increasing later with brief Showers from evening.
For the South Island west coast: Rain becoming widespread this morning then breaking to showers from the south.
Marlborough and Canterbury: Fine and frosty at first, showers spread north from afternoon.
Otago and Southland: Mostly fine at first. Showers and southwesterlies spread north from mid morning.
Chatham Islands: Showers.
