Weather Workshop: All Districts forecast for NZ

The Situation: A high in the Tasman Sea is pushing a ridge onto the North Island. A westerly flow is developing over the lower South Island.
NORTHLAND, AUCKLAND, COROMANDEL PENINSULA ,WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI, BAY OF PLENTY, ROTORUA, TAUPO, TARANAKI, WANGANUI, MANAWATU and TAIHAPE: Mostly fine and sunny with frosts to sheltered places and light winds. From afternoon, cloudy periods likely in the west from Taranaki down to Manawatu with west to
northwest winds developing there.
WELLINGTON: Mainly fine with frosts in sheltered places this Morning. Northerly winds.
GISBORNE, HAWKES BAY and WAIRARAPA: Mainly fine with frosts in sheltered places. Southwest breezes.
NELSON: Fine with southwest winds developing.
BULLER, WESTLAND and FIORDLAND: Cloud increasing with showers about Fiordland spreading as far north as the glaciers by dark. Westerly winds.
MARLBOROUGH and CANTERBURY: Fine and frosty at first with light winds inland and northeast breezes about the coast. Some high cloud later with westerly winds developing inland by dark.
OTAGO and SOUTHLAND: Mainly fine and frosty at first with light winds. Becoming cloudy about the Southland coast later with high cloud developing elsewhere. Westerly winds developing and becoming gusty through Foveaux Strait.
CHATHAM ISLANDS: A mix of cloud and fine breaks with west to southwest winds.
THE OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: Fine and frosty once again over the North Island and upper South Island. Rain developing on the South Island west coast with thickening high cloud elsewhere. At the Chatham Islands, mainly fine with west to southwest winds.
