Fine conditions everywhere Wednesday. From Thursday onwards cloudy periods in the west from Waikato to Taranaki, also about the central plateau, elsewhere mainly fine.
WANGANUI and MANAWATU: Brief showers clearing today and fine and frosty tomorrow and Wednesday. Expect cloudy periods after that with light showers Friday along with westerly winds.

of Napier Friday.

Cloud more extensive on Wednesday with patchy rain about western Southland and Foveaux Strait. Rain or showers may become more extensive in the far south Thursday and Friday but elsewhere it should stay dry in westerly conditions.
