Now the All Districts forecast from Weather Workshop:
The Situation: A high in the Tasman Sea is pushing a ridge onto the country. A weak front is moving up the east coast of the country and should reach Gisborne by evening.
NORTHLAND and AUCKLAND: A mix of cloud and fine breaks with a few light showers possible. Southeast breezes.
COROMANDEL PENINSULA ,WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI, BAY OF PLENTY, ROTORUA, TAUPO, TARANAKI: Mainly fine and frosty at first. Cloud increasing later with a few showers possible about Taupo and Taranaki but remaining dry elsewhere. Southerly breezes.
WANGANUI, MANAWATU, TAIHAPE: Mainly fine and very frosty about the central high country at first. A few showers develop about the ranges and the high country later with some hail and a few snow flurries to the desert road after dark. Southerly breezes.
WELLINGTON: Mainly fine at first but cloud increasing with a few showers and cool southerlies developing later.
GISBORNE, HAWKES BAY and WAIRARAPA: Fine and frosty at first. Showers and southerlies spread north from afternoon reaching Gisborne after dark.
NELSON: Fine at first. A few brief showers possible later this morning then becoming fine again. Southerly breezes.
BULLER, WESTLAND and FIORDLAND: Showers spreading north this morning then clearing and becoming mainly fine. Southwest winds.
MARLBOROUGH and CANTERBURY: Mainly fine inland with light winds. About the coast, brief showers and southerlies spread north this morning. Becoming fine and frosty everywhere tonight.
OTAGO and SOUTHLAND: Cloud and a few showers retreating to the coast this morning. Light winds inland and southwesterlies about the coast. Becoming frosty tonight.
CHATHAM ISLANDS: Mostly cloudy with showers and southwesterlies.
THE OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: Fine and frosty to most places again with southerly breezes. At the Chatham Islands, showers and cold southwesterlies continuing.
