Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight.
In the west from Northland to Taranaki: A mix of cloud and fine
periods with odd shower becoming widespread for a time this
afternoon or evening.
For Coromandel Peninsula and Bay of Plenty: Mainly fine
but a few showers spreading from the west this afternoon or
evening.
In the west from Wanganui to Manawatu also the Central Plateau:
Mainly fine but a few cloudy periods at times and one or
two showers developing from this afternoon.
For Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: Mostly fine weather with a few
cloudy periods.
For Wellington and Wairarapa: A mix of cloud and fine periods
with a few showers developing this evening.
In Nelson: Fine weather.
For the South Island West Coast: Cloudy at times with a few
morning showers but clearing from the south this afternoon
and becoming mostly fine.
From Marlborough to Canterbury: Fine for much of the day with
a few morning fog patches. A change spreading north this
afternoon and evening to southwesterly winds with a few
showers.
For Otago and Southland: Showers becoming widespread for a time
this morning then retreating to the coast this afternoon
with the weather becoming fine inland.
For the Chatham Islands: Showery with strong cold
southwesterly winds.
