The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has completed its programme for the 2019 CIC Conference that will address all major issues confronting the construction industry, according to CIC Chairman Gordon Jenkins.
The Conference is being held June 13,14,15 at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
Mr. Jenkins said that the Attorney General Hon. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, would open the Conference, with the Trade Show to be launched by the Hon. Premila Kumar, Minister Industry & Trade.
The Trade Show will be held under tent directly adjacent to the Conference Centre. There will be 24 exhibitors representing a number of key disciplines in the construction industry.
The level of speakers and topics that have been selected to explore these major issues that affect operations in the industry and include licensing, standards, OHS, education and training, insurance, as well as the resolutions introduced by delegates to last year’s conference.
“While last year we had 370 in our initial 2018 Conference, this year we expect 400. We are urging those in the industry to attend for it is the one event in the year that will bring delegates up to date on the state of the industry. It is also the forum where concerns can be raised on issues that may not be in the Conference formal agenda,” said Mr. Jenkins.
CIC is the umbrella organization that represents all the construction industry associations, recognized as the gateway into the Fiji Government.
