UN Child Rights Committee issues findings on Benin, El Salvador, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mauritania, Niger and
Saudi Arabia
GENEVA (October 11, 2018) — The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child has published its findings on the countries it
examined during its latest session from September 17 to October 5: Benin, El Salvador, Lao People’s Democratic Republic,
Mauritania, Niger and Saudi Arabia
The findings contain positive aspects of how the respective States are implementing the Convention on the Rights of the
Child and its optional protocols, highlight matters of concern and make recommendations.

The next session of the Committee on the Rights of the Child will be from 14 January, 2019 to 1 February to review the
following countries: Bahrain, Belgium, Czechia, Guinea, Italy, Japan, and Syrian Arab Republic. More information may be
