A telephone conference with heads of regional state administrations on solving social problems of citizens who are being migrated from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city to other regions of Ukraine was held in the Government House with the participation of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, First Vice Prime Minister Vitaliy Yarema, Vice Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman and members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on April 4
Opening the meeting, the First Vice Prime Minister said that the Government has implemented a number of measures for the deployment of military personnel and their families, as well as civilians who wish to leave the Crimea. However, the official said that the task of the government is not only the improvement of accommodation, but also the organization of provision of any necessary assistance to the speedy adaptation at the new place of people who leave the occupied territory.
He informed that for this purpose the Government has developed and adopted a plan of additional measures for temporary accommodation of citizens who migrated from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol to other regions of Ukraine, which will address a number of social problems of the citizens.
In particular, the restoration of all benefits and assistance in employment; keeping a register of citizens of Ukraine who migrated, and the list of state and municipal property, which may be found for accommodation; provision of necessary medical assistance in state and municipal health care institutions, including psychological support; obtaining of appropriate education; provision of legal aid and so on.
Heads of regional state administrations, in turn, reported about the situation on the ground and voiced a number of problems that need urgent solutions.
